The Carrie Diaries

    • Question: Got anything on The Carrie Diaries? —Eugene
      Spoiler anzeigen
Ausiello: Carrie‘s going to be looking a lot Sexier in Season 2 now that the show is introducing a pre- Kim Cattrall Samantha, who is described in the casting breakdown as ballsy and confident with a wicked sense of humor and a don’t-screw-with-me attitude. When we meet her she’s working the velvet rope at a downtown nightclub. Oh, and the role will be a series regular, so Sammy Jo is sticking around.

    • Will Katie Findlay be in Season 2 of The Carrie Diaries? Everything I have been hearing and seeing since filming started doesn’t show or mention her at all. I know the first season ended with Carrie and Maggie on bad terms, since she hooked up with Sebastian. – Gia
      Spoiler anzeigen
Maggie will definitely be back this season, I am assured, but don’t expect her and Carrie to make up anytime soon. Oh, and she may not be steering clear of Sebastian, either….

Described as a “wunderkind playwright,” Woods’ alter-ego, Adam Weaver, will develop a professional relationship with Carrie — one that quickly turns very personal. • Is there anything you can tell us about Samantha Jones (Lindsey Gort) on The Carrie Diaries? — Emily
      Spoiler anzeigen
NATALIE: "She is Donna LaDonna's cousin," executive producer Amy B. Harris teases. Carrie and Samantha "have chemistry, but they're very different. Carrie's spent a lot of time nurturing friends, worrying about her sister and her dad, and Samantha comes in with a lot less worries about consequences and helps her open her eyes to letting go of that a little bit." Looks like Samantha will finally be putting the sex in the Sex and the City prequel.

PREVIOUSLY ON... | After breaking up with Sebastian, Carrie and her buddy Walt moved into Larissa's NYC loft for the summer; Walt kissed Bennet; Dorrit lost her virginity to Miller; Mouse gave in to Wes' charms.

COMING UP NEXT | The show will split its time more evenly between Castleberry and the Big Apple as it explores "what makes [her] Carrie,” says executive producer Amy B. Harris. “So much of that is Manhattan. The fact that she never cooks or buys groceries is going to have some funny ramifications for her in an episode.” Carrie also makes a Sexy new friend named Samantha (played by Lindsey Gort), and encounters a potential love interest (played by Chris Wood) -- though Harris maintains that “Sebastian is very much still in her mind. She's struggling to figure out how do you move on from someone when you still love them.” Speaking of her ex, he'll be going through a tough time following their split. “[Sebastian's] mom will make some big decisions that are going to make his life a lot harder,” teases the EP. “At times, he'll make some very bad decisions for himself” -- with cougar love interest Molly Sims? -- “as he feels like he's lost Carrie.”

TVLINE BONUS SPOILER | Sorry, things are still platonic between Bennet and the underage Walt when the season begins. The newly out teen “is really struggling to figure out who he is as a gay man without having very many gay experiences, but really loving his life in New York and being able to be out in the world,” says Harris. “But he's pining, to some degree, for Bennet.”
