    • I can't wait for True Blood to return! Please tell me you have some scoop! — Andre
NATALIE: To sum up the show's return: Blood. Death. Blood. Repeat. (But that second death won't stick.) More specifically, remember last season when Sookie and Jason discovered that someone named Warlow killed their parents? Well, suffice it to say that finding and destroying him will be at the narrative fore (particularly because of this casting). What will surprise you, though, is Warlow's connection to Bill's occupation of/transformation into/death by Lillith. Nora is going to have to brush up on her vampire Bible, tout suite.

Question: Any scoop on True Blood Season 6? —Soso
Ausiello: I carved a few hours out of my holiday weekend to watch the first two episodes, and here are a few highlights: There’s a pivotal death, a threesome, a Hoyt shout-out, all kinds of fancy new anti-vampire weaponry and a horrifying glimpse into the future that may or may not foreshadow this. Also, if you’ve been dying to know what Friday Night Lights‘ Jurnee Smollett-Bell will be up to this season, I can now confirm that she will be playing an activist with the Vampire Unity Society (V.U.S.) by the name of Nicole who sets her sights on ...

    • True Blood - Season 6 - June Episodes - Press Release

HIT HBO SERIES TRUE BLOOD KICKS OFF SIXTH SEASON JUNE 16

The Authority is in flames. TruBlood is in short supply. As Bill comes to terms with his newfound powers after emerging reincarnated from a pool of blood, humans are in open conflict with vampires like never before. Meanwhile, Sookie and Jason must steel themselves for an encounter with their parents’ killer: the mysterious and ancient Warlow.
The hit series TRUE BLOOD kicks off its ten-episode sixth season SUNDAY, JUNE 16 (9:00-10:00 p.m. ET/PT), exclusively on HBO, followed by other new episodes on subsequent Sundays at the same time. Mixing romance, suspense, mystery and humor, the show takes place in a world where vampires and humans co-exist, after vampires have come out of the coffin, thanks to the invention of mass-produced synthetic blood that means they no longer need humans as a nutritional source.

The series follows waitress and part-faerie Sookie Stackhouse (Anna Paquin), who can hear people’s thoughts, vampire Bill Compton (Stephen Moyer) and vampire Eric Northman (Alexander Skarsgård). Alan Ball (creator of the Emmy®-winning HBO series “Six Feet Under”) created the show, which is based on the bestselling Sookie Stackhouse novels by Charlaine Harris.

Other returning cast members on TRUE BLOOD include: Ryan Kwanten as Sookie’s trouble-prone brother, Jason Stackhouse; Rutina Wesley as Pam’s newly-turned progeny, Tara Thornton; Sam Trammell as Sookie’s shape-shifting boss, Sam Merlotte; Nelsan Ellis as Tara’s clairvoyant sharp-tongued cousin, Lafayette Reynolds; Carrie Preston as Arlene Bellefleur, a Merlotte’s waitress; Todd Lowe as Terry Bellefleur; Chris Bauer as Terry’s cousin, sheriff Andy Bellefleur; Deborah Ann Woll as Jessica Hamby, Bill’s vampire progeny; Kristin Bauer van Straten as Pam, Eric’s vampire progeny and business partner; Lauren Bowles as Holly, a Merlotte’s waitress; Joe Manganiello as werewolf Alcide; Michael McMillian as vampire Steve Newlin; Lucy Griffiths as Nora, a former chancellor of the Vampire Authority; Kelly Overton as werewolf Rikki; and Anna Camp as anti-vampire crusader Sarah Newlin.

New cast members for season six include: Arliss Howard as La. Governor Truman Burrell; Rob Kazinsky as Ben, a stranger with faerie ties; Rutger Hauer as Niall, a faerie grandfather; Jurnee Smollett-Bell as Nicole, a pro-vampire activist; and Amelia Rose-Blaire as Truman Burrell’s daughter, Willa.

    • I’m so excited that Anna Camp is returning to True Blood. Any scoop on how Sarah is going to react to Steve coming out of the closet? Or maybe she already knew he was gay all along? –Rashad
God-loving Sarah resurfaces in this season’s third episode and wastes no time tearing into her ex — but it’s his vampiric orientation she seems to have the bigger issue with.

    • Question: I’ve been wanting Sookie and Alcide to hook up on True Blood for a long time. It almost happened last season, but it didn’t end so well. Is there any chance they will get together in season 6? —Rashad
Ausiello: First off, here’s the reason it didn’t end so well. Secondly, Sookie’s going to be otherwise engaged this season with this guy. Bottom line: The Sookie-Alcide ‘ship has sailed, methinks.

Please tell me you have some Pam-and-Tara scoop for True Blood? — Lila
NATALIE: The state of Louisiana will declare war on vampires, so there won't be any time for Tara and Pam to braid each others' hair and talk about their feelings about their hot kiss in the finale. However, their relationship will deepen as a result of two shocking events: 1) Pam will find out (for the first time) who Nora really is to Eric and 2) Tara will become Victim No. 1 to a frighteningly powerful new weapon that the police has devised to combat vampires. These are no mere wooden bullets!

    • Very excited for Anna Camp's return on True Blood. Got any scoop? — Michael
NATALIE: When we see Sarah Newlin again, it will be in a very familiar position — she still believes that God hates fangs. But she's redoubled her efforts (find a clue here), which will spell bad news for her reunion with former hubby (and current vamp) Steve.

    • Hi there! Wondering where your column has been. We haven’t gotten a Spoiler Room in weeks. Anything you have on True Blood would be awesome. Especially if it involves Eric and Sookie. Thanks! — Beth
I’m out of Eric and Sookie scoop … for now. But I do have teases on Sookie’s new love interest, played by Rob Kazinsky. “Over the season the character will evolve in great jumps and bounds,” he tells us. “Episode 4 is a very big episode for Ben. You’re going to find out a lot about his past. Ben does have a very dark side. That’s going to come out in force in episodes 4 and 5.” Hopefully got some Eric/Sookie for you soon. Additionally, I’ll be having the lovely Kristin Bauer in the office VERY soon. So send questions!

    • So what the heck is going on with Bill on True Blood? — Jonah
NATALIE: That's what he'll be trying to figure out over the next few episodes, much to Jessica's chagrin. As Bill tests the boundaries of his newfound powers, he'll have some disastrous results. "Jess is terrified," Deborah Ann Woll tells us, "absolutely out-of-her-mind terrified. He's the last tether for her. She doesn't have Hoyt. She doesn't have Jason anymore. It's really scary to think that the one person she used to rely on is in this internal battle."

    • Question: Two episodes into True Blood‘s new season, and there’s no sign of Anna Camp’s Sarah Newlin. What gives? —Jonathan
Ausiello: The bitch is back this Sunday and has a “very tense” reunion with her estranged gay vampire ex Steve, teases his portrayer Michael McMillian, who says viewers “will get some insight into what happened in their marriage during Seasons 3 and 4… They have some unfinished business.” Bonus Scoop: Back on June 6, Camp tweeted from the True Blood set that she was in the midst of the “craziest day of work I’ve ever had… and I projectile vomited in Pitch Perfect.” Well, I hear things got so nuts that the actress ended up in the hospital with a bruised noggin! It was just a precaution and she’s totally fine, but still… Makes me wonder what the hell was going on.

    • OMG! Are all our favorite vampires going to die on True Blood?! — Harold
NATALIE: Bill's prophecy looked pretty damn scary, right? Kristin Bauer van Straten certainly thought so, saying it made her worry about her job security. But she says that there will be many twists and turns before that scary scene could come true. "A couple of the different worlds are overlapping," she says. "Vampires aren't the only ones in danger and aren't the only ones fighting, and we're not really going to know who's on what side." Who else is hoping a naked Alcide saves the day? No? Liar!

    • What's Ben's deal on True Blood? He's obviously hiding something. — James
NATALIE: We'll find out why he's really in Bon Temps this week — and it's not good. But Rob Kazinsky swears that deep down, Ben is a good guy. "Everything he says in the first few episodes are not lies," he says. "He has a real genuine fascination, adoration and love for Sookie."

NATALIE: Bill's scary prophecy may come true sooner than we expected. But that's not necessarily a bad thing, since it will show a hilarious new side of fan favorite Pam. Unfortunately, it will also put her at odds with Eric in a way that will make fans very angry. tvguide.com
